About the Mission and Vision for Trail Life El Cajon

Walk Worthy..."
TO walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him: bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. (Colossians 1.10 ESV)

Our Trail Life Troop meets once a month on the third Thursday, 6:15-7:45 PM at one of our El Cajon supporting churches. We also Hit-the-Trail on the first Saturday of the month for an outdoor event, except weekend campouts. For youth safety reasons we don't publish the locations, but we do invite families to visit our troop and its events. You can request more information by email (TrailLifeElCajon@gmail.com).

Our Trail Life Vision is to be a Christ-centered, high adventure ministry for boys that endeavors to “be the premier national character development organization for young men which produces godly and responsible husbands, fathers and citizens.”
Our Trail Life Mission is to guide generations of young men to honor God, lead with integrity, serve others, and experience Outdoor Adventure. Living the Trail Life is a journey established on timeless values derived from the Bible and our centuries-old living community following Christ.
Our Trail Life Program, for boys aged 5 to 17, centers on outdoor experiences that build skills and allow the youth to grow on a personal level and as a role model for his peers.

  • Purity |  God calls us to lives of holiness, being pure of heart, mind, word and deed. We are to reserve sexual activity for the sanctity of marriage, a lifelong commitment before God between a man and a woman.
  • Service |  God calls us to become responsible members of our community and the world through selfless acts that contribute to the welfare of others.
  • Stewardship |  God calls us to use our God-given time, talents, and money wisely.
  • Integrity | God calls us to live moral lives that demonstrate an inward motivation to do what is biblically right regardless of the cost.
Join us on the adventure today!
